Our Class went on a nature trail walk with Ranger Rick at Point Au Roche State Park.

We learned how to identify certain trees by their leaves. We also observed the snow geese nesting on the lake and watched flocks of Canada geese migrating south.

We used our senses to listen to nature sounds, feel the wind and smell the many odors present.

We also collected many items on our adventure.

Back in the classroom, we grouped our leaves by common characteristics and created a nature book by choosing 5 collected samples and writing what we learned about them.

The weather was beautiful and a great time was had by all.

A special thank you to the parents that joined us.
